Why Ron Paul Isn't Mainstream

It's really amazing me as one of my friends put it at how much "effort is being put into not mentioning his name". He of course being my candidate of choice for 2012, Ron Paul. This was in reference to an article by Politico after the Iowa Straw Poll in which the title blatantly skipped the second place winner. Of course they could care less that he lost by less than one percent of the vote and completely obliterated Pawlenty. It seems that everyone and their brother in the media these days is dead scared of a real reforming conservative. Could it be their fear that he wants to recall our troops and protect our borders? or their fear that he wants to reform or entirely close down (the preferable choice) the Federal Reserve and restore the power of regulating our money to Congress? or could it just be that he's an old, white, rich, guy- the new enemies of America as the left would have it. Maybe that's why the media tends to favor Bachmann as the GOP candidate, because she could be the first woman president. Not that i have anything against that but i don't think she could do it. She's too young, and doesn't have the life experience that 75 year old Ron Paul has. To me Ron Paul is an even more conservative version of Ronald Reagan and that's what we need in 2012 when the rest of the choices seem to be at the best moderate conservatives, and at the worst, socialist, progressive, liberals who have another idea for their America. I urge everyone out there to pressure the media into giving Ron Paul equal coverage. The more we complain the better they'll listen.
